Convention/Cover-Roundup! (sorta)

I have just returned from New Hampshire after attending the Granite State
Comic con, put on by Double Midnight Comics. So a big thank you to them and specifically to Cris and Scott. Two class acts all around. They treated Kieth and myself very well.
I have some photos that I wanted to post, but for some reason my camera has decided to be a hater and won't function properly. And yes, when confronted with the problem, my solution was to hit it. Repeatedly. Because that is how you fix a sensitive piece of equipment. By hitting it.
I don't know, I'll figure something out, but in the meantime here are the latest covers for Green Lantern Corps.

This turned out really nice in the colored version, (way to go Moose) ....all though, I do wonder where Natu's right arm is....perhaps she has fallen victim to having her parents time line interrupted and thereby never getting married and giving birth to her, now her arm is fading into non-existence as the space time continuum unravels. Or maybe that was Back to the Future. Or maybe Moose just forgot. I have no idea.
Anyway, the Thumbnail sketches are self explanatory.

I have never spent so much time drawing huge veiny armpits.

I was going more for a Sumo wrestler moment here.
I like to imagine that this moment is followed up by an earth shattering,
super belly bounce.OOF-Duh! Check out Kilowogs GUT!
Who says super hero's need perfect six-pack abs?!? Not me!

That's all for now. I'll be back soon with some pictures form the con. Keep your pants on, Keith!

  1. You can just make out her right arm if you look pretty closely. Her skin color is close to the background color so its tough, but you can see the shading there.

Oh, and I adore that cover by the way. :)

  2. It'd be a lot nicer if it weren't an ass-shot.

  3. Hey, it's Green Lantern! It is SUPPOSED to be an ass-shot!

I love the thumbnails...Sinestro just seems so full of...glee! And the veiny armpits are also very nice.

  4. Green Lantern is the franchise of ass shots. Forget overcoming the yellow weakness, this is how you know you've made it as a REAL Lantern. :-)

    The covers are gorgeous!
