I saw the DC solicits for these covers were out. And so I figured I'd start displaying these things here more regularly.
On the second row of the thumbnail sketches below, you can see a few different angles that I played around with. Ultimately we chose the middle one, but as you can see in the finished pencils below that, I added the central lizard guy. He was pretty much an afterthought, but I think it ended up making the piece look much better.
I had the most fun I've had in a while drawing it.
